What is a Parrot Beak Cutter?

Cocky Beaks?

Tools that are designed to cut through 'tough stuff' have a common design principle.  Its called a collapsing trapezoid.  Basically, it works the same way that a Parrot's beak works.

The tool has two jaws that work with each other to hold the object in place while scything through it - using the principal of a collapsing trapezoid to achieve this result.

And the added bonus is that it is almost impossible to screw up the cut - because of the geometry, the cut is  always precise, square  - and as easy as it can be done. (...you have to remember that if you are cutting stainless steel - it is genuinely tough stuff)
