What is the best fuel for my camp oven?

Well there is no 'right' answer but there are subtle differences in technique depending on which is being used.
HeatBeads: These burn much hotter than wood or coals so it is important to use them sparingly - our recommendation is for a total of 30 beads on the 12.5 litre BushKing lid. Once ignited the beads should be evenly spread over the lid and there will be no need to replace or add to the amount of beads for the duration of the ...baking time. (If the beads are left in a heap they will cause a hot spot and are likely to char the high parts of your roast)
Wood: Firstly any wood being used must be very dry - wet or green wood just won't generate enough heat. The ideal pieces are hardwood and should be 30-40mm in diameter. It is very important to refuel regularly and as doing so remove any burn't out ash to prevent it becoming an insulating layer and slowing the cooking process.
Campfire coals: Prime rule is to regularly replenish with fresh and hot coals and remove burnt out ash. Using coals provides the gentlest form of heat and so takes longer to complete the cooking process.
