Jewellery items are often purchased as a gift for someone special or to spoil someone. So buying good quality jewellery that won’t tarnish or damage easily is often hard to find.
The price we pay, plays a big part in purchasing high quality jewellery and knowing what to look for; such as sterling silver 925, gold 375, 14 kt and 18 kt and alike.
It is of course, a lot harder to tell the authenticity of gemstones as imitation, fake, synthetic stones have flooded our market. That is why, it is important to purchase from designers, boutiques, online stores that are passionate about their quality and collections. Artists who want the customer to be happy first time round.
If you have purchased an item that is of a low quality, imitation stones or is leaving marks on your skin then let the seller know, message them and ask for a refund. You may be reacting to the metal or it may be just be that you purchased a poor quality product.
 
A few tips below when purchasing a piece of jewellery, there are a few things to firstly consider, they are

Quality - is it made of materials that will last such as sterling silver or gold and gemstones that are authentic not cloned.

Versatility - can you dress your jewellery up and down, wear with jeans or wear out to a special occasion

Warranty - does it have a lifetime warranty or will it end up in landfill
