Why buy Assembled systems?

This is a Tip to help enlighten customers about purchasing Computer systems at a cheaper rate than the market

Assembled systems give you the flexibility to select what parts you require. There is no difference between a Branded system and an Assembled one.

Computer systems are manufactured by major companies (ASUS, Seagate, Intel etc) which have a tie up with the wholesalers or distributors who sell these systems under their brand (HP, ACER etc). The overhead expenses are higher due to the quantity companies deal with.

Assembled systems are built part-by-part using components manufactured by the same major companies (AMD, ASUS, Seagate, Intel etc) and then sold as custom or under the sellers brand name. The overhead expenses are far lower than big companies and thus we are able to pass on the savings to you.

So why buy an HP Pavilion or Compaq for AUD $1500-$3000 when you can get the same configuration (or better) for about AUD $500-$1500, that’s a huge saving.

Things you need to consider

  • Consider Assembled or Custom (if you may) systems, it'l save you heaps
  • Consider AMD processors:
    • They are cheaper than Intel
    • Run at a higher frequency
    • Reliable and Efficient
    • Durable
  • Always read through the sellers feedbacks and about me page.
  • Check how many items the seller is selling.
  • Purchase from stores for your piece of mind, they are here to stay.
  • Always insure expensive items to avoid damage/loss.

If you know how to assemble a computer system, purchase individual parts and save even more (ask sellers for discounts)

I've have an AMD Athlon64 x2 3600+ Dual Core system that I assembled over a year ago and it has not given me trouble ever since.
