Why to avoid 'UNTESTED ITEMS'

Many items you see on E-bay especially, electrical items have in the description.
' GREAT ITEM, COMES IN UNTESTED CONDITION'
this is very risky, as many sellers could know the item does not work, but if the buyer agree's to bid and recieves the item and it is not working, the seller can not be in the fault. Because it was in 'untested condition'.
an example of untested condition items are Xbox 360s. Many xboxs built in mid 2006 have a problem called  "Red ring of death" or commonly reffered to (RROD) http://www.google.com.au/search?q=rrod&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a
Many xboxs can be sold with the (RROD) and be said as untested condition and still sell for $200+, when they don't work.

Most E-bayers don't do this, but there will always be a few that will break the rules.

Be careful with the phrase "Untested Condition"
