Writing a successful About Me Page, isn't all that hard. The easy rule to remember is, that if you are honest then nothing is going to go wrong. The whole point of the About Me Page, is to let buyers know thing about you and your sales.

Introducing yourself - Everyone says that the first impression is always the most important and I guess it's the same on a Me Page, if you introduce you sell with silly fonts, symbols and incorrect spelling like this "lyk me nam 1s nam3b0y & im lyk da koolest!" is more than likely to turn buyers away. Introducing yourself the opposite way to that "Hello, my name is nameboy and I have a current passion for toy cars. With this passion comes the collecting and selling." Be creative! Add pictures of your collections, art work, anything! After all this is your page and it's reflecting you!

Talking about what you sell - If you have had a business for a long time and are expading to eBay then tell people about your business' history for example "I've been selling Toy Cars since 1997 and have finally decided to close my store and move to the online business. I still do have a base for my item so you are more than welcome to come along for viewings or pick-ups."

Postage Costs - Tell buyers how you plan to dispatch there item(s) whether it be in bubble wrap or  cling wrap! Give the a descriptive paragraph on how you plan to do it and if you allow them to combine items. "I post all the Toy Cars in a bubble padded box with a further layer of bubble wrap, wrapped around it, then into a registered post envelope. I only offer registered post to guarantee arrival"

Payments you accept - Again tell buyers how they can pay for item(s). PayPal is a popular to most buyers as it is quick and completed on that day! "I accept all kinds of payment for the Toy Cars - Bank Deposit (Details shown in check-out), Money Orders (Details shown in check-out), C.O.D (Cash on Delivery), Pick-Up and of course PayPal"

As for what else you put on your About Me Page, in entirely up to you! Remember the more information you have about you and your items the more likely they are to sell. Pictures never lie so most as many as you can to promote yourself. But most of all be honest in what you do. There's nothing worse than to lie to a paying customer. :)
