Nothing is uglier than your grandma’s Scale from the 50’s

We have all seen them. The old ugly analogue scales that sit in your Grandma’s Bathroom, in the exact spot they sat when they were new, 60 years ago…
But lucky for us, today scales come in all shapes and sizes, and there are many funky designs and colours that can suit your bathroom or kitchen.

* 87% of kitchen scales sit in the cupboard

* 36% of people said they would keep their scales more accessible if they simply looked nicer.

* 3 out of 5 people make their choice on scale based on the design.

Today I’m here to share a little bit about working scales into your home décor. Let me start with the kitchen. If you’re anything like most of our customers, the appearance of your kitchen is important. That is why all of the scales we have at The Scale House are designed a specific way.

If your kitchen has all stainless steel appliances, then add a stainless steel kitchen scale, and it will act as a useful addition to your bench top. If your kitchen is “Modern” styled, with great colours, then perhaps look at a Flat panel Glass scale, which come in Black, White (blends in great with most bench tops) and a funky red. The Red is ideal for those who are looking to make a statement in their kitchen!

In the bathroom it is a similar story. Personally, I like my bathroom to be as clean and clutter free as possible, which is why I use a glass body fat scale. By using Glass scales it gives the illusion that there is less there. If you have light coloured tiles, try a white flat panel scale, they blend right in.

If you are looking to make style statement in your modern bathroom, you can’t go past the sophisticated look of Black Glass, Stainless steel and a Blue LCD Screen.
