Preparing Plant for Repotting
Remove dead roots.
remove old potting material.
trim good roots to 3" or 4" (7 to 10cm)
Repot in fresh charcoal, chopped pine bark or manfern fibre.
Tie firmly to stake.
Be very careful not to damage new roots or growth that is commencing.
1. Don't overpot, allow 2 years growth.
2. Don't give newly potted plants much water for the 1st week or so, as there are no active roots to handle it.
3. Keep them in a shady area, give them a gentle spraying on warm days to hold down evaporation. When new roots are established treat them like the rest of your plants.
