I too bought a brightly coloured clarinet from a Aust seller, thinking my daughter would love it. After 15 months all the cork joins deteriorated and needed repair. The repair company here in Adelaide wouldn't touch it...too cheap and nasty. Told us to buy a Yamaha (a proper instrument). Well, Im not going to buy a $600 clarinet for my 11 year old until I know she is serious about learning the instrument so I guess I have to buy a relatively cheap instrument and hope it lasts a little longer. It all really sucks...but what can you do? Please be aware when you buy instruments like this...they are never going to last very long.
