as a new seller to ebay i have found that you can find alot of unused items in your household that can be sold on ebay clothing, unwanted gifts, items you don't use anymore, you will be surprised at what you can find in your own house.
research before you start so you no what fees are expected, what the rules are. Make sure you are honest with buyers and discribe items exactly as they are so buyers are not dissapointed and there are no unexpected surprises, treat customers as you would expect to be treated.
When selling used items make sure they are in near new condition, welcome emails asking about items and be prompt with replies and prompt posting items on time, also give buyers a few options for paying for items, paypal, money order, direct deposit into your bank account.
When pricing items remember to be realistic ask yourself would you pay that amount for that item.Go on ebay and look at similar items you are going to sell and the other sellers prices and try and reach a happy medium. Also be realistic with postage weigh items before listing and go to australia post website for prices for posting items.
Always add pictures and make sure they are clear and close up so buyers can get a look at what they are buying.Look at the most popular items sold on ebay and deceide whether this venture's going to be for a bit of extra money or maybe a furure buisness, there are books you can buy on ebay.
As a buyer myself i found ebay to be a great source for products and the convience of shopping from home.I have recently joined paypal which is so much easier tp pay for items
