I purchased a new Hornby steam loco.Unfortunatly I had nothing but trouble, even today it sits in its box at home. The metal parts are so thin.It would not work on our club DCC.[even the experts have troubel] While Hornby were very good in trying to fix it [see above] I think I will buy hornby again but Diesel, not so many moving parts.I have purchased 2nd hand in the past & think as they are older are a better deal & quality.Do not discount 2nd hand, normally running & well looked after.
