If you want to buy wholesale priced jewellery on ebay and don't know if its worth the amount suggested in RRP (recommended retail price) then try these simple steps to make a more accurate guess on the items worth.

, check what the weight is. if it is gold look up how much gold is trading for. eg. AUD$30 per gramm. Simply multiply the weight with the dollar value.

, next compare the item with one similar in a jewellers shop and compare the price! what the jeweller is selling it for is the RRP!

, always check feedback! if the seller is new, its likely they are going to sell on a temporary basis, meaning they will be more likely to be dishonest.  if you are not sure ask if you can get a certificate of value with your purchase.

, finally, you can ask the seller, before you bid for more photo's or details of the item. Most sellers are only too happy to help, after all they want your business!
