General Comments: A lovely little scale, with a bright, clear display, and a button to turn on/off the display backlight. Batteries and a tray are included. There is a 20g weight included for calibration/testing. Cons: The cover lid of the device is a on a hinge. The back edge is a little tight and makes it a little difficult to open, as it sticks against the body and requires a small amount of force to open. Can be rectified by removing the lid and sanding down that edge a little, then replacing it. Accuracy I tested the accuracy of the scale by weighing a variety of weights ranging from 20g down to 10mg. I used the included tray and tared the scale in between each test. For each weight, I did 3 tests. There was an occasional anomalous result which I discarded. I believe these were due to not placing the weight in the centre of the tray, taring when there was a background vibration etc. There were only a couple of such anomalous results, but it's worth mentioning. I had 3 different 20mg weights to test, and the scale gave different results for each. However, the results were consistent for each weight +/- 2mg. For example weight 20A gave results of 19.998, 20.002 and 19.999. Weight 20B gave results of 20.005, 20.006 and 20.007. Weight 20C gave results of 20.008, 20.009 and 20.008. I point this out, because the weight set I bought was a fairly cheap one and it's not a precision certified calibration set, so it's likely the weights are inaccurate to some degree. For the 2 200mg weights I tested, 200mgA read 0.204, 0.204 and 0.203. 200mgB read 0.200, 0.199 and 0.200. Again, consistent. For the 2 20mg weights I tested, 20mgA read 0.024, 0.023 And 0.024. 20mgB read 0.021, 0.024 And 0.022. The rest of the weights were consistent to within +/- 2mg and often +/- 1mg. The smallest weight I measured was 10mg and the results were still as consistent at this weight: 0.014, 0.012, 0.012. I conclude from this that the scale is accurate from the 30g maximum to at least 20mg. The claimed tolerance of 0.001 is possibly true, at worst it would be 0.002 from my rudimentary testing. I can't say how accurate it is below 20mg because I only had one 10mg weight, the precision of which I can't verify. All in all, I think these scales are probably accurate and precise and consistent. I certainly think for most uses they will be fine, unless you are weighing things on the mg level at 10mg. I think they are great value for money, and I highly recommend them.Read full review

The weighing mechanism is situated below the surface of the scale. So this means you have to use the small awkwardly shaped cup to measure anything larger than a 20 cent piece. You can put a card onto it (acting as a platform) and extend it that way but it really should have been manufactured with a plate. It's rather annoying. But for the price you make do.

Good quality for the amount spent on it, can't really complain. Also came pretty fast

These scales are quite accurate, for the price. Anything below about 5mg increments is difficult, but that’s to be expected without lab-quality equipment and condition.

Accuracy is good to about 4 or 5 mg. You won’t measure accurately in 1mg increments. I bought it for measure amino acids, so it’s fine for me. Good price.
