The raspy warm voice wrapping around his -- he wrote or co-wrote 13 of the 15 -- well-written songs, with real solid playing has become a trademark of this artist, in fact if it weren't so that would be the surprise. It is not necessarily more of what we come to expect from him, but you better understand that as a compliment.
This is by far his best songwriting effort, and with the progress he has shown from album to album one can't wait for the next batch of songs. His ballads tear into your heart and mind with their tone nuance, yet they are not soppy, but real life that most can feel because we have worn those boots also. Take a journey into the moods and thoughts of "Into Your Life." Remember that day when you had the same experience, and all the emotions that went with that day. Go right into the infectious "Ramblin Sky" and see if you know "why my feet are tappin'," look down at yours and see what they are doing. Listen to the wondering that goes on during "Long Ago With Miles Between," can you say that those same thoughts haven't run through your mind, in one form or another?
It's not only his songs that he puts it all into, but he also does some fantastic work on Bob Dylan's songs. His musical tone reflects the thoughts and mood tone almost perfectly, so that each builds on the other. ~ Bob Gottlieb
I am selling about 500 American copies of CDs. All are new. These come from a warehouse clearance. Some are promotional copies; others are standard retail copies. Starting price is just 10 cents a CD.
This will be my final sale season (and will probably run till April - May) as I am finding it too hard to source more stuff at a reasonable price.
Many are rare / obscure
/ never released in Australia.
Some come with different artwork; check the format description. Note that some have been in storage uncased for up to 20 years so may have small surface marking; where they do I have checked that they play perfectly.
All are sold without
plastic cases unless specifically stated as this reduces your postage cost, though some are in digipacks if that was how they were released. I can supply plastic cases but these are $1 extra to cover cost of the case plus extra postage.
Postage is $2 each for first and second item, then $1 per item for additional CDs over 2. For bigger orders I can ship up to 500 grams (10 regular CDs) for $7.
International buyers add $6 to the
total. Because countries vary, if it costs less I'll refund the difference. For example up to 250 grams (3 CDs without cases) to the USA, Canada or UK is $7.
New Zealand - $5 for first item, then $1 per item for additional CDs
