We use high-quality premium-grade imported green beans from around the world (yes, we source from the same certified suppliers as the bigger coffee companies), roasted in Melbourne.

We DO NOT use commercial grade beans - these are all Specialty Grade.

Please NOTE:-this coffee is roasted DAILY, not stale or excess stock being sold at cheap clearance prices as you may find elsewhere on eBay.

How this coffee is created......

Absolutely premium 100% Arabica coffee.

As we hold over 30+ different types of specialty coffee beans at any time, ESPRESSO is blended using premium beans from our leading traditional single-origin and certified Rainforest Alliance, FAIRTRADE and Organic product lines.

This standout coffee has been prepared with a smooth Brasil Ipanema Rainforest Alliance bean as the base - superb neutral acidity.

We then add in some wonderful Indonesian Bukit Marante Grade 1 (Genuine Kailosi Toraja) for that compelling low acid, thick syrup sweet mouthy feel.

For bright notes, we add the exception Costa Rica DOTA Terrazu give the blend a vibrate kick.

Then for some deep fruity bite, the revered Ethiopian Harrar dry processed Longberry.

Make no mistake, this is quality and you will pickup an absolute bargain here - WHY PAY $30+ a kilo for the same coffee. Why drink stale, low-quality supermarket coffee when you can enjoy coffee at it's finest.

 Cupping Notes

We have tried to establish a delicate acid balance with this coffee. Acid is so important when serving a straight black coffee, high acid is unpleasant. When serving a milk-based coffee such as cappuccino, latte or flat white, low acid can taste sour. There are compromises to be made when blending and roasting coffees and we think this coffee has struck a reasonable balance. 

Rich and creamy with chocolate notes and a little bit of fruit. 

The type of equipment used to roast coffee is very important.

There are many coffee companies in Australia and around the world operating cheap or very old and ineffective roasters. 

These old-style roasters are manually controlled and rely on the skill of the operator to produce results.

In reality, the cheap or old-style roasters just do one thing - brown beans.

We run one of the most modern, state-of-the-art Specialty Roaster plants in Australia.

Our new computer-profile controlled Geisen roaster is "best-in-class". We also run a new customized Joper that uses a special double-walled cast iron drum, compared to most single-walled drum roasters, this produces exceptional quality roasts.

This equipment is coupled to a high-performance de-stoners and housed within a temperature controlled enclosure.
