The Landy is being advertised for the final time. Opening price is the reserve- one bid will win her. She doesn't sell, she goes back in the shed:) simple!
You are bidding on one of my projects that, with a heavy heart, i have realised I will never get around to completing.
She is a completely rust free, 1957 Series One 88 Inch Petrol Land Rover, still fitted with the 2.0 IOE Motor.
I have owned her for approximately Seven years. Prior to that, she lived in a shed in Central West NSW for approximately 14 Years- In my ownership she has been garaged for the whole time, and as a result of covered standing, is in great condition in both Chassis and Firewall.
During my ownership I've regularly started her and changed the oil, Done aa set of Points, Performed a Compression Test (All Cylinders came back at 100 PSI Compression), Flushed out the Cooling System and sent the Water Pump away to be reconditioned. She now holds her water well!
She starts and runs quite happily, and will happily drive onto a Trailer. Indeed, she sat outside her shed idling away quite happily for half an hour while I tried to get the Grey Fergie in the photos started...!
Regarding the rest of her condition, she is completely original, has never been repainted over, and still has her original Commercial Markings on the front wings from a property known as 'Boomanulla', in Blayney, NSW.
The Braking system will need going through as a matter of course as it currently is inoperative- I have a Master cylinder repair Kit to recondition the Main Cylinder, but have never got around to doing so. Naturally, Springs/Suspension will also need Reconditioning as required. Also budget for an exhaust, as the 'Paddock Spec' system is a little agricultural..!
She comes with a Spare Gearbox and Transfer case as well, if the new Owner requires a spare.
She is going to be missed, as I say, I've had her for a while but unfortunately I have a 1950 80" which I wish to concentrate on restoring for the moment.
She will not be 'Parted out'- Not in the slightest bit interested in stripping her for bits. It would be criminal to do so!
Please feel free to give Alex a call on 0458 793 797 with any questions about her, and please remember you are bidding to buy, not for first refusal.
Please note, I will not be completing the Sale outside of Ebay for an agreed Value. What she sells for here is what she sells for. That way, if I do not receive the Funds or the sale cannot be completed, negative feedback can be left.
There is no ridiculous reserve, one bid will win the Land Rover.
On successful Completion of Auction, Buyer to make contact within 24 Hours. Funds transferral and arrangement of pickup by mutual agreement.
The Land Rover is located in Orange, Central West NSW for Pickup Purposes.
Good luck, and thanks for stopping by:)
