This is a single rapid tri-chemistry battery charger with 1 replaceable adapter cup. What makes it universal is the interchangeable adapter cup feature. The adapter cup is a removable and replaceable mold. Each mold is designed to hold the specific model of the battery model. If you own 2 different scanner models, all you need is 1 charging unit and 2 correct adapter cups to charge the batteries.  Instead of buying 2 separate chargers, you can just have 1 charger and replace the correct adapter cup to fit each battery.

Because each adapter cup fits only specific battery model, you need to choose the correct adapter cup that is compatible with your battery. When placing an order, please leave a note (on the message section) to specify which adapter cup model you need.  To find the compatible adapter cup, please refer to "Charging Cup Option and Compatibality List" below and choose 1 adapter cup model.  Additional adapter cup is available for just $15 each. If you wish to purchase additional adapter cup, please contact us via email.  For your convenience, the adapter cup will be installed on the charger unit prior to shipping.

**The standard charger circuit is designed to charge nominal 7.2/7.4V battery packs. Adapter cups indicated by an asterisk (*) are for charging nominal 3.6/3.7V battery packs, and make use of a different specification internal circuit board and connector. When replacing adapter cups, please note that these 3.6/3.7V adapters cannot be connected to the standard 7.2V/7.4V internal circuit board, and vice versa. If you wish to purchase additional cup adapter, please make sure the adapter cups have the same voltage (either 3.6/3.7V or 7.2V/7.4V).

 

 

Charger Specifications:

  • 1-station rapid tri-chemistry battery charger with microprocessor / IC control.   
  • Charges the battery externally.  Battery has to be removed from the scanner unit before placing into charging compartment.
  • Automatically detects Ni-Cd, Ni-MH and Li-ion chemistry battery packs, and delivers optimal charge program.
  • Charges most batteries in 1 to 4 hours. Approximate charge time: most Ni-Cd batteries: 1 - 2 hrs; most Ni-MH batteries: 2 - 3.5 hrs; most Li-ion batteries: 2.5 - 4 hours.  See table below for charge hours.
  • Switches to trickle charge mode when batteries are fully charged.
  • Protects batteries from overcharging, prolonging battery life.
  • Detects defective batteries.
  • With interchangeable / upgradeable adapter cups to fit most barcode scanner battery models.  Ability to charge different battery models (with similar voltage) using interchangeable adapter cups.  Please contact us via email for adapter cups availability and battery compatibility. 
  • Supports universal voltage 100V ~ 240V AC input; 12V DC 4.0A+ output.
  • Powers with an external switch mode AC/DC adapter (UL, CE, RoHS certified) with America(US) 3-prong plug type.  You will require a EU, UK or Australia plug (gender converter) in other countries besides US and Canada.
  • Charge current: 1000mA~1500mA ±10% ( depends on battery type).
  • Orange "PWR" light turns on when charger is connected to power outlet.  Green "OK" light flashes once indicating self-test mode completes and charger is ready to charge.
  • Red "CHG" light turns on when battery is inserted indicating battery is charging.  Green "OK" light turns on when battery is fully charged and battery is ready to use.   Charger automatically switches to trickle charge mode until battery is removed.
  • Red "CHG" light flashes if charging defective battery.

RMA:  We offer 30 days return policy with Money Back Guarantee and FREE 1-Year Warranty for replacement starting from the invoice date.  Return item must be assigned with RMA #.  RMA number is valid for 14 days only and we must receive the RMA package within the 14 days.
