Cracka ReviewGalli Estate makes the perfect depictions of Italian varieties using the best Australian vineyards in Heathcote and Sunbury. You’ll be transported to Piedmont when you take in the intoxicating aromas of this Nebbiolo that has found a new home in Heathcote. It was always Lorenzo Galli’s dream to see wines from his beloved Italy grown in his adopted country and this delivers red fruit, earth and floral aromas. The palate rewards with redcurrant, and earth as well as dried herbs.
Cherry red in colour, this wine has aromas of red berry fruits and roses, with a hint of earthiness. The palate is juicy yet savoury. Red currants and blood plum dominate, with an undercurrent of baked earth and dried Italian herbs. The finish is long with grippy tannins and pronounced acidity. A refreshing medium bodied red of great character and poise.
