It's a basic radio which covers the basics well. Easy enough to use and like the feature where it Wakes you up gently to the radio

The sound quality is reasonable - but not as good as the 25 year old unit it replaced. Reception is also only fair - AM stations are quite poor with substantial interference. FM is somewhat better, but I expected more. The backlit display is difficult to see in daylight if set so that the light is not too bright during the night. Harder because of the flat front and any angle makes it more difficult. The worst feature is alarm setting. Quite a process each time. Buttons are small and to cancel the alarm means finding one of the smaller (unlit) buttons in the dark. Having a sleep time of just 5 minutes is annoying. It is a well made unit and we may get used to it - or we may just revert back to our trusty older clock radio.

Backlight is yellow. While this is good for sleeping it is difficult to see during the day. The FM reception is excellent, the AM reception is poor in our area. Already having a Sangean personal pocket radio picking up better reception I assumed the clock radio would have a similar AM reception sadly disappointed.

Instructions could be a little clearer in regard to how long the radio stays on after the alarm sets it in operation. I still cannot do it.
