Up for auction here is a Bianchi XL EV2 in fantastic condition especially for a bike of this classic era.
This frame is from the Pantani sponsored era of Bianchi, circa 2002 - made from cutting edge (at the time) tripple butted aluminum heat treated alloy with Bianchi's inhouse structural foam injection process, which aided vibration dampening and added strength.
The bike is a 56cm center to center on the top tube which would suit someone 5'9 to 6'1 - its currently set up for someone with a long torso as its running a 140mm stem - but this is easily adjusted with the multitude of other 1 inch stems on ebay.
As a professional bike mechanic and have put a lot of care and attention into this build from the ground up but unfortunately do not have the time to ride the completed project, this does mean though that some of the parts have not seen much use much if at all.
The specs are pretty much all Italian or european and are as as follows.

The bike looks stunning and only has a few occasional marks mainly from cable rub but very minimal signs of age for a bike of this vintage. The paint is classic Bianchi metallic celeste green which in some spots shows some very subtle egg shelling patina, this is typical of the era and is purely aesthetic and only effecting the clear coat not the paint.
