Crystal Soil instructions

A 5 gram packet of crystal soil expands to fill a volume of about 500ml after soaked in water for around 5 hours.

The colors of my crystal soil pearls/beads does not run.


  • Fill a container with roughly 1 litre of clean water.
  • Unpack the crystal soil and soak them into the water.
  • The crystal soils expand when in contact with water.
  • Leave it for 10-11 hours and the crystal soils will be fully expanded.
  • Drain the excess water, and the crystal soils are ready for use.
  • Wash hands after handling. 

Caring for Crystal Soil

As the water evaporates or is drunk by plants, they will shrink naturally especially those on top. Top up water or soak them back in water  and they will grow back to their original volume.
If the crystal soils become dull and dusty, rinse them under running water to clean off the dirt, they will back to shine again.
Avoid direct sunshine.

Disposal of water crystals

Do not dispose the unwanted crystals soils down the drains, they may cause blockages. Crystal soil (polymer) is degradable, dispose of them with the general rubbish. 

CAUTION: KEEP CRYSTAL SOILS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. DO NOT SWALLOW. DISCARD WATER, DO NOT DRINK. THE CRYSTALS EXPAND IN WATER. SLIPPERY WHEN WET.

First Aid: If swallowed, do not give liquids, seek medical advice immediately
