BEAUTIFUL SUMAC Rug

This is a hand made SUMAC from Afghanistan (Mazar-e-sharif).The dyes in this SUMAC rugs are all naturaly extracted from all different vegetables.

SUMAC Rugs are a very special style of weaving from Afghan weavers. It feels like Klim but a much more tighter weave and also different backing.

It is very similar to Tapistry but much stronger and longer lasting because of the tight weave.

This SUMAC Kazaak is pure sheeps wool and has a cotton base for extra durabiliy and wear. Wool is the best fibre for a rug because firstly its is a natural fibre so if you have pets such as dogs or cats their hair dosent stick to the rug, it repels and can be removed very easily with one vaccume and secondly and most importantly due to its natural wool and dyes its very safe for children and people with breathing problems (eg:Asthma), because wool is a natural fibre when children breath air around the rug they will not breathe in harmful particals commonly found in pollyester and acrylic rugs.
