Our CLAY MASK GIFT PACK contains one 125g resealable pack of pure Australian Organic Clay, a porcelain mixing bowl with mixing spatula, a natural bristle face brush for application (or for other cosmetic uses, eg foaming cleanser) and a small natural sea sponge for easy clay removal, all in a handy pvc storage bag. Comprehensive instructions, hints & tips are included. 

Choose from BLUE, GREEN, KAOLIN, YELLOW, PINK or WHITE clay - read below for information on which clay is best for your skin. Email us with your colour choice after purchase, or leave a note in the additional instructions box on checkout with your preference. If we don't receive a colour choice, we'll send mid-range YELLOW clay.

 
AUSTRALIAN ACTIVE CLAYS are rich in valuable minerals. One of the best skin cleansers available, a clay mask draws out toxins like a magnet. Face or body masks stimulate circulation, remove dead skin cells, absorb excess oil and impurities, and generally improve skin colour and tone. Choose your clay colour to suit your skin type and condition: Blue for problem skin, Green or Kaolin for oily, Yellow for normal, Pink for mature or body masks, or White for sensitive or young skin (more detailed information on each colour listed below). You can also add 10 - 20% Deep Red or Midnight Black clay, as nourishing additives to the other clay colours. For use around once a week or fortnight (or twice for particularly oily or acne-prone skin) - you will immediately feel the difference.

THE DIRECTIONS ARE SIMPLE:
Prepare a mask by placing a heaped teaspoon of clay into the porcelain bowl. Gradually add enough distilled or spring water, or aromatic hydrosol (see below) and stir until it forms a smooth paste. Apply a thin layer to a clean, damp face, neck or body, avoiding the nostrils and eye area, then lie back and relax for 15 minutes – perfect in the bath. If your skin is dry or sensitive, don't allow the mask to completely dry – spritz or sponge with water or hydrosol when you feel it beginning to dry out. After 15 minutes moisten the mask and rinse thoroughly with warm water - use the sea sponge to assist with removal of the clay. Pat dry, spritz with floral water if desired. Avoid using cream or oil for an hour or two while you allow your skin to breathe.

Instead of using water with your clay mix, replace it with natural HYDROSOL, or FLORAL WATER for the ultimate home spa experience. Active clays are available in different colours, depending on their mineral content. Choose your clay colour depending on your skin type and condition:
 
WASHED BLUE
Australian Washed Blue clay is an excellent treatment for oily and problematic skin as it can assist in regulating sebum flow, cleanse hair follicles and dissolve impurities on the skin. Use up to wrice a week for particularly troubled skin.
 
OLIVE GREEN
Australian Soft Green clay (inc Bentonite) is one of the strongest and most absorbent of clays, particularly suited to oily or acne-prone skin. Green clay can assist in detoxifying the skin and reducing and balancing sebaceous production; it can revitalizes tired, dull complexions, leaving the skin glowing with vitality. Use up to wrice a week for particularly troubled skin.
 
YELLOW
Australian Golden Yellow clay (inc Kaolin) is excellent for all skin types. It is a mid-strength clay that has a tonic effect, helping to improve the condition of tired and devitalized skin. An excellent pick-me-up.
 
PASTEL PINK
Australian Pastel Pink clay (inc Kaolin & Iron Oxides) is mild enough for use on all skin types, particularly skin losing its tone - pink clay particularly suits mature skin. It can cleans, firm and tone the skin, especially with repeated use. Aside from the face, it’s great as a body mask for the bust, neck, upper arms and stomach.

WHITE, or IVORY
Australian Pure White, or Ivory clay (inc Kaolin) is the gentlest and least absorbent of all the clays. It assists in soothing and softening the skin and is suitable for sensitive and dry conditions, even for the elderly and young. Use White clay to tone down some of the stronger clays to make a milder mask, or to mix with some of the darker clays that are prone to staining when used alone – for example, mix a ratio of 10% deep red clay to 90% white.
