Glossary of terms:
Côtes de Genève - A decoration of undulating lines, like waves, frequently used to embellish superior quality movements.
Movement Jewels - (In French: empierrer) To set or push fit jewels (ruby bearings) in a watch movement.
Balance - (In French: balancier) A generally circular, moving part which oscillates on its rotational axis. It is coupled to the balance-spring which gives it the to-and-fro motion through which it divides time into strictly equal parts. Each to-and-fro movement ("tick-tock") is called an oscillation, and each oscillation comprises two vibrations.
A circular mass (rim) held by spokes. Combined with the spiral it forms the regulating organ of the watch.
Rotor - A heavy half-disc of metal which the energy produced by the movements of the arm cause to freely rotate inside the case of a self-winding watch. Its own weight returns it to a vertical position. A specific system multiplies its rotations to continually wind the mainspring.
316L stainless steel - Grade 316L, the low carbon version of 316. Used extensively in surgical instrumentation this very high grade steel is commonly refered to as 'Surgical Grade Stainless Steel'.
Guilloché - is an engraving technique in which a very precise intricate repetitive patterns or design is mechanically etched into an underlying material with very fine detail. Specifically, it involves a technique of engine turning, called guilloché in French after the French engineer “Guillot”, who invented a machine “that could scratch fine patterns and designs on metallic surfaces”.

New to mechanical watches?
Then please read below for information.
A mechanical watch is a watch that uses a non-electric mechanism to measure the passage of time. They are traditionally driven by a spring (called a mainspring) which stores energy by being wound and releases the energy into the mechanism (called the movement) as it unwinds. To prevent the mainspring from unwinding all at once, an escapement is used to control the speed of the unwinding.
Mechanical movements are mainly divided into two categories, manual and automatic, distinguished by the method which the mainspring is wound. Manual mechanical watches are wound by turning a watch's crown by hand. Automatic watches use a rotor within the movement which rotates as the wearer moves their arm, transferring the kinetic energy of the wearer's arm and storing it into the mainspring. Automatic movements may also be wound manually; a watch that could be wound by both methods is usually considered an automatic.
Mechanical watches are mostly distinguished in the marketplace from quartz watches. Modern mechanical watches, derived from centuries-old technologies, generally are not as accurate as quartz-driven movements and are usually much more expensive to produce. Nevertheless, mechanical watches are still highly-sought after by collectors, and the most prestigious timepieces in current production are dominated by mechanical movements.
For a watch to have that special something is has to be mechanical.
