Detailed item info

Although there may be a general feeling that the careers of the Beatles and U2 parallel one ather, especially the work and political interests of John Lenn and Bo, they have yet to be compared at length. Bo himself has said his career and role in society would t have been were it t for the Beatles. Since the 1980s, it is fair to say U2 has captured the attention of thoughtful rock fans as the Beatles did, especially from Revolver to their break-up. McFilker begins his homage to these influential bands by recounting his accidental stumbling upon Achtung Baby, MTV and U2's Zoo TV tour. To compare the two, he discusses their monumental concerts, their many tribute bands, films and documentaries and draws a direct comparison of Sgt. Pepper with Achtung Baby.
