Antique European Feed Sack GRAIN SACK Red Stripe # 2452

You are bidding on an original flax/hemp grain sack that is at least 60 years old and possibly over 100 years old. These sacks were hand woven by the farmers wives and families during the long cold  European Winters and originate from all over Europe.They were stored in  the homesteads in large old chests until harvest time. Many sacks bear the initials of the farmers. The reason for this was communal grain stores were often used and it made for easy identification of the farmers own grain. We travel all over Europe on a monthly basis and have done so for the last 16 years. We get the opportunity to hand pick these wonderful unique linens from time gone by. We are possibly the biggest importer of this fabric into the USA . These sacks have been carefully laundered in a cool cycle and air dried and are of the best value and quality on Ebay.

Condition : A good looking well used sack with 2 fine red  stripes. It has a small spot on both sides .

These stunning sacks are perfect for upholstery,pillows,cushions,bolsters,bags, etc,etc,etc and are exceedingly durable. The more you wash them the softer they become.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:  These sacks are 100% machine washable! I wash them on a regular, warm cycle and then air dry them ( however you can also tumble dry them).Should you find any dirt present simply add Oxyclean or similar.
