We wanted an easy to use phone that would be suitable for bigger fingers to manipulate the numbers and letters and that was easily understood by people who are not readily technologically inept. This type of phone was recommended by family members who already own similar. We have only owned this phone for 1 month and in that time, it hasn't missed a beat. When the internet is being used, the battery life is dramatically reduced. We were using the GPS quite a bit and by the end of the day, over 1/2 of the battery had been used. This is the only drawback that we have at this stage.
Product lacks phone facilites such as Auto Answer on receipt of calls, and many other features you would expect from a phone. The other features such as use and range of apps is good. If you do not want to access the internet you will need to turn off Mobile Data and Enable 3G features in the General settings or you will have data charges from your service provider without knowing why. Syncing with Outlook etc OK.
I was using an iPhone 4 and my wife was using an iPhone 3. Her phone was having some wifi problems so I decided to give her my phone and buy a new one. I considered the iPhone 5 but since I travel a lot I need to be able to change the simcard quite frequently. The nano sim in the iPhone 5 would be quite restrictive for me because I also interchange simcards with my iPad. The common simcard size allows me to get the most out of any prepay credit that I have on my additional simcards. Apple will sell me an iPhone 4S but with only 16GB storage. I need a lot more because I have heaps of audio and video on my phone. I decided to try ebay and found the 64GB iphone 4S, brand new, and for a very good price. It came with full apple warranty which I extended to 2 years through Apple. This has been an excellent purchase for me. I got a brand new Apple product which was not even available in the Apple store. I was not really interested in any alternative product. The Iphone 4S was the perfect choice for me and I could only find it on ebay. Thanks ebay!Read full review
Managing messages is a big plus for me, ease of accessing phone numbers gr8. Storage capacity for books, photos and audio is excellent. SIRI has some functionality for me but not a lot, (alarm set). Battery drain I think is too quick whilst in use, I have a Mophie attached and it protects and extends battery life as well. I think it's a tad overpriced. Visually and very user freindly device for an old fart. Still learning but!!! I love it.
Very happy with the phone, only problem is the battery doesn't even last a day.. Over all a great phone to use, with all the updated and new features..
