|Seller Notes:||“Very light use and constantly maintained. I covered the bike in ACF50 when I first bought it and have maintained the coating ever since. Recent rear tyre, cassette (28/12) and chain replaced 100kms ago.”|
Carbon black, red and white.
I bought the Gallium with full dura ace and ksyrium wheels. Gallium was the top of the line model in the Argon 18 range. First thing I did was spray the bike with ACF50, and have done this every 6 months since. The rear wheel had a problem with the rim early on, so I replaced both wheels with Token C30A's
see review here
The dura-ace chain was replaced about 100kms ago, together with a new rear cassette (Ultegra 28/11) for the hills around here (my excuse!).
Frame is size XL - suit taller riders from 5'10" upwards.
Saddle is a Fizik Alliante, comfy for my rear. Everything else is Dura-Ace - brake levers, callipers, front and rear derailleurs, cables, etc.
Stem is Cinelli (110mm), but I have a longer Deda Elementi item (120mm) if you are taller.
The white handlebar tape was replaced 100kms ago at the last service.
2 x carbon super light bottle cages
There are some marks on the bike, but very minor and only cosmetic. The hoods have the usual marks (I'm not perfect…) saddle is pretty much perfect. Front tyre is good but I'm not a big fan. I replaced rear with a Verdestein Fortezza TriComp which is fantastic, and I have another of these for the front which I'll put in another auction. The front tyre has lots more wear, it's just not as fun as the verdesteins.
Spokes are all aero.
pedals are Look carbon keo's - I have some worn cleats I can send but I'd probably get myself a new pair.
Cranks are dura-ace 175
seat post is FSA Carbon Pro
Bars are carbon - forget the brand and it's under the tape!.
Not sure what else to say - in my opinion, the bike looks fantastic, still does, and I know it rides really well. All gears work perfectly. I've had a fair few road bikes in my time, and this has been by far the best. Very stiff frame, and light. Also they much have had the geometry right because it really handles the descents and corners well. I'm moving overseas so this is a very reluctant sale, as is everything else we're selling!
I'm also selling my wife's carbon road bike, and our 2 x carbon full sussy MTB's - all in very good nick.
Happy to take any specific photo requests, and happy for people to come and view before end of auction. I doubt you would be disappointed.
Total bike weight is around 7.7 kgs WITH pedals and bottle holders, exactly as you see it in the photo's. I weighed on the home scales so could be nearer 7.8? She's light though.
Freight : Local bike shop can professionally pack and frieght with Greyhound under bus cargo to your nearest bus station for about $200-$250. If you organise your own courier pack only fee approx. $50
