Australian Site - Janome New Card Reader/Writer USB Connection 24 Function in 1

Compatible with Janome embroidery design cards (CF type II) for the following Janome models: MC 200E, 300E, MC 350E, MC 9500, MC 9700, MC 10000, MC 10001, MC 11000 and some Elna's machine too.

Here's some simple instructions for you about this new trendy, genuine & heavy duty Card Reader/Writer that should help you:

Insert your design card as shown in second photo, design card face down and VERY gently push straight into a slot for the compact Flash in your card reader/writer, it should go easy so never push it or force it in! because if you do that then you might very well damage the unit as it has delicate & sensitive pins inside it (ALL card reader/writers are built with same delicate pins inside even though in this unit the pins are much stronger because it is a heavy duty unit but still you can damage it... You'll need to feel while inserting the cf card in gently that the card IS actually going in properly and if it doesn't then maybe you got the CF card the wrong way around. just be patient & eventual you'll get the hang of it! it's really easy... :--)

Also to ensure long life of this heavy duty card reader/writer:

1) Always disconnect card reader/writer from the USB IF you are not using it.. as this unit has light indicators when turned on and if you leave it plugged in for days it can overheat..! 2) Always insert the CF card in very gently in first BEFORE you connect the USB. 3) again insert the CF card VERY gently in the card reader/writer, do not use force as explained above... If you do all that then this unit should easily last you for many and many years to come and many more. :-) Cheers

Here's more helpfull information for you!:

If you have a USB port in your machine, you can just insert your design cf card into this card reader/writer & connect the card reader to your Janome machine to embroider designs using the USB cable which comes with this card.. and if you don’t have an USB port in your machine, you’ll still need the card reader/writer anyway for viewing your designs on your computer and customizing them (you can convert file’s format, change size, position, density, colors, hoop size and so on) using your own software such as Buzz Xplorer or Embird etc.. You can also put designs from your computer onto a CF card using this unit and vice versa too. You can also use this card/reader writer for other purposes too as it has many different kind of slots for diffrent types of cards such for: XD, SD, MMC, RS-MMC, MS, MS-Pro, MS-DUO etc.. and of course the one specially for the CF I & II card. I use it also myself because it has a fast transfer rate and I can easily dowload pictures, videos.. from my camera SD card onto my computer or my laptop.
