Battlestar Galatica is the story of a civilisation named Kobal,
destroyed by humanitys deadliest enemies the Cylons. All that is left
is a ragtag fleet of battleships holding a group of human survivors and
it is Commander William Adama, (the highest-ranking military officer
left alive) who leads the main ship, the Battlestar Galactica.
In series two, fans see the story develop even further. After a
succession of devastating attacks by the Cylons (series one), the
surviving colonies are forced to flee, in search of a mythical 13th
Colony of Kobol a legendary planet known as Earth. The DVD includes
episodes that follow the Battlestar Galacticas adventures, as they try
to avoid the Cylons and attempt to locate Earth.

at Essential DVDs we offer postage discounts for orders of 2 or more
DVDs. As postage is calculated on the weight and size of parcels, Box
Sets are not included in the below discounts. This is because the
weight and size of Box Sets are varied. Orders containing Box Sets
still qualify for similar discounts, but will need to be manually
calculated. eBay cannot automatically generate discounts on postage for
multiple quantity orders so a new invoice will need to be issued. This
will be done as soon as possible, usually within 12 hours. If you want
to make immediate payment feel free to do so, we will simply refund you
your discount at the time of postage. Please look below for discounts
on regular postage. The more you buy, the cheaper each DVD is to post.

Postage Methods
We
use Australia Post for all our posting, and items are shipped via
Regular Post from our Adelaide office unless a different method has
been selected by the customer. Items cannot be tracked and traced with
Regular Post which is quoted to take between 4-6 working days for
delivery, but many items arrive in 3 working days. On very rare
occasions postage can take up to 10 working days. We offer Registered
Post and Express Post in all our listings. Registered Post costs $3.00 extra per order and provides a tracking number, with an estimates delivery time of 4-6 working days. Express Post costs $3.90 extra per order, and will ensure delivery within 36 hours of shipment.
Please
beware, occasionally items do go missing in the mail!! Please pay for
Registered Post if you dont want to risk your item being lost in the
mail as we are not responsible for lost parcels. From experience, the chances of a parcel going missing is 1/1000 or 0.1%
All
orders will be posted within 24 hours of payment received. We post
Monday through to Friday, once a day before Midday. Orders are shipped
to the most recent address provided. If payment method is PayPal, the
address registered on your PayPal account will be used unless otherwise
instructed. Once an order has been shipped our staff will mark the item
as payment received and posted, which is visible on your "My eBay"
page. This will trigger an automatic email which is sent to the
customers to let them know their parcel is on its way.
We
take the utmost care when packaging DVDs for shipment. As of September
2010 all DVDs will be posted with bubble wrap and/or padding (padded
bags or wrapped in bubble-wrap. Foam beads and cardboard sheeting may
also be used where required). Despite many trials using different
materials over the past 4 years, occasionally items will get damaged in
the post. On the rare occasion that a DVD case is cracked, please
notify us and we will send out a new case, or refund the cost of a new
case. In the event of a disc spilling loose inside the cover, and
subsequently being scratched, a replacement will be sent out, or full
refund issued upon return of the DVD.
Feedback
eBay
have realized that leaving feedback for up to 50 sales a day is a very
time consuming task. For that reason eBay have an automatic feedback
system which Essential DVDs have taken advantage of. Once positive
feedback has been received, it tells us that your item arrived safely
and that you are happy with the transaction. So, this account is set to
automatically leave positive feedback for customers once positive
feedback has been received. We feel this is the best option as it
leaves more time for our staff to list new stock, and lets us know the
sale is complete and customer is happy. A friendly email reminding
customers to leave feedback will be automatically sent out 15 days
after an item has been posted.
We
believe all issues can be resolved, and all Negative and Neutral
feedback avoided. So please email us if you have any problems regarding
your order and we will do out best to resolve the situation. Feedback
extortion and threats of leaving bad feedback will not be taken lightly
and you will be reported to eBay.
Of course, eBay's feedback system is completely voluntary. If you dont want to leave us feedback that is fine.
Payment Methods
Please
make payment within 7 days of purchase. If you need longer for payment,
email us and other arrangements can usually be made. Accepted Payment
Methods are PayPal, Bank Deposit, and Money Order.
PayPal
Instant Payments are the fastest method of payment. Please be aware
that PayPal eCheques take up to 7 working days to clear.
If
paying via Bank Deposit, please complete the Checkout Process on eBay
to access our Bank Account details. Using Internet Banking is the
easiest way to complete a Bank Deposit, but if you would rather
complete the deposit in person make sure you have a St George / Bank SA
branch near by. PLEASE leave your eBay user ID as reference when you complete a bank deposit!
We take anything from 5 - 15 deposits a day and it causes delays when
deposits show up with no description. When that happens we cannot post
the item until we have successfully matched the deposit to an order,
and sometimes this can take as long as 2 weeks as many items sell for
the same price. Also, please allow 3 to 4 working days for a deposit to clear. Some banks are quicker than others.
Money
Orders are also accepted, but they are an added expense to the buyer
and will take roughly 4 working days to reach us, meaning the order
will take a further 4-6 working days after that to arrive. Estimated
delivery time for orders paid via Money Order is 10-12 working days.
If you dont intend to pay for an item, DO NOT purchase it.
It just wastes our time... We will follow through eBay's dispute
process to obtain all lost fees incurred for the sale. This will result
in the Non Paying Buyer receiving a Strike, and potentially being
kicked off eBay.
Region Coding Information
Australian
DVDs are coded in Region 4 format. All DVD Players purchased in
Australia will play Region 4 DVDs. Occasionally we stock Region 1 (USA)
DVDs, usually because a particular DVD is a popular title which has not
been released in Australian Region 4 format yet. Region 1 DVDs will
require a Multi-Region DVD Player. Some DVDs are Region free / Region
ALL / Region 0 which all mean there is no coding, and will play in any
DVD Player. The majority of DVD Players are capable of playing Region
1, 4 and 0 DVDs these days, and if you are unsure please consult your
DVD Player manual, or conduct an internet search on your DVD model.
Every item we list will clearly state which Region the DVD is coded for
so there should be no confusion.
BLURAY and HD DVD formats
BLURAY
and High Definition DVDs were both released as new and improved formats
to the Standard DVD, with better overall quality. BLURAY outsold HD DVD
and as a result the production of HD DVDs was ceased. Both formats
require their own specific DVD players. BLURAY will not play in a HD
DVD Player and HD DVDs will not play in a BLURAY Player. Neither will
play in a standard DVD Player. Please ensure you are buying the correct
DVD format for the DVD Player you intend in playing it in.
Refunds Policy
Refunds are given for items broken or damaged in the post or for faulty DVDs,
upon return of the item. We cannot refund for items purchased for the
wrong Region DVD Player, wrong Format DVD Player. Or items lost in the
mail where the buyer chose to not pay for Registered Post.
Local
Pick Up
For
insurance purposes Essential DVDs will not be offering Local Pickup
after September 2010. All items must be posted regardless of distance
to meet our insurers terms and conditions. We do not have a shop front,
this is strictly an internet based business.
