Very good condition without creasing.

Notes:

 

In service 1923-1943.  Converted to Armed Merchant Cruiser 1939. Troopship in 1942.

Attacked by German aircraft 11th July 1943 

in the North Atlantic and set on fire. 

Survivors rescued by escorting destroyer HMS "Douglas" which then sank her. 

46 lives lost in the air attack.

A Certificate of Posting is obtained for all packages.

Losses are extremely rare, but if a package is deemed 'valuable' by the buyer, for reasons of cost, special interest or scarcity then it is recommended that "International Signed-For" insured post is selected. This costs, in addition to the standard airmail rate, an extra GBP 4.25 (for compensation up to GBP 40.00), or GBP 6.75 (for compensation up to GBP 500.00). 

"International Signed-For" is required on all packages exceeding
