Cabbage – Chinese Michihili

 Unable to send to Western Australia or Tasmania

 

Chinese heirloom which produces barrel type heads weighing 2+kg’s (head 40 cm tall by 15 cm wide). It has tender light green leaves which are very crisp. It is fast growing and great for stir-fries, raw or lightly steamed.

 

When to Sow:

Tropical                    Not Recommended

Preparation:

Cabbages like high amounts of nitrogen and potassium so well rotted animal manure is ideal. Like other brassica’s, they are sensitive to high acid soils (pH  of 6 – 6.5 required) so lime application may be required. Keep plants well mulched to retain moisture.

 

Sow:

Sow 10mm deep in seedling trays / pots in seed raising mix. Do not overcrowd. Can also be planted directly into the garden. Keep moist until germination. Seedlings emerge 7 - 14 days. Germinates best when temperature is between 10 – 25 degrees C.

 

Spacing:

Transplant seedlings to garden when 4 leaves are present (2 seed leaves and 2 true leaves). Keep 35 cm between plants and 60 – 75 cm between rows. When transplanting seedlings, remove the seed leaves and plant deeper up to the 1st set of true leaves.

 

Plant Type:              Frost hardy annual;

Harvest:                    approx. 70 days;

Each pack contains a min of 375 seeds.

Do I need to wait for an invoice before payment?

No - eBay will automatically combine postage when you complete checkout and proceed to payment. If the postage calculation is incorrect, I will amend & send an invoice, or if payment has been made, a refund will be processed.

How do I buy multiple items on the one invoice?

Select the 1st item and click on “buy” then select the “commit to buy” button on the next screen.

You will then get an option to pay for the item now or “visit sellers store”.

Select the visit sellers store option and repeat the process for the subsequent items.

Once all items are purchased, then you can proceed to the payment & all items will be combined onto one invoice.
