Jay Verduzco has been a Speedmaster™ employee for almost a decade, beginning in the sales department and working his way up to Senior Operations Officer. Growing up in low-income family there were not very many opportunities to get behind the wheel.

Although nobody in his family had ever been involved in racing whatsoever, Jay knew he had to drive racecars. Determined to get behind the wheel he began to learn all that he could. Eventually getting behind the wheel of his very first car at age 15.

He has been building cars since before he was old enough to legally have a license and began drag racing at age 16. He has been competing in some type of racing ever since. Along with drag racing, Jay has participated in road course time trial events and circle track racing. So far he has raced at Auto Club Raceway Pomona at the famous 1/4" Mile Dragstip, Adams Motorsports Park, Irwindale Dragway and Orangeshow Speedway.

With the loyal support of Speedmaster™ and the Kencevksi family Jay Verduzco continues to advance his racing career, most recently proudly campaigning the Speedmaster™ Camaro in the Stock Car Class at Orange Show Speedway. He remains solidly in the top ten in points.

Speedmaster™ X360 Project
by Tad Nelson Sema Show 2010

At the 2010 Sema Show, the Speedmaster stand incorporated a 1967 Camaro, as apart the of the Nelson Competition Products promotion. While NCP show off their Motorsport craftsmanship, they used Speedmaster components in restoring the classic muscle car.

SEMA - “The X360 Project began with an idea to build a 1969 Rally Sport Camaro. The car was to be placed as a featured show car in the Speedmaster booth at the 2010 SEMA Show. After an extensive search, Tad Nelson of Nelson Competition Products located a 1969 Camaro, which had been sitting in a barn in Wedron, Illinois, for 20 years. Like most uncovered automotive treasures, this car is a classic, just begging for a full, aftermarket restoration. As a next-generation classic car restorer, Nelson accepted the challenge and looks forward to showcasing his skills with the best in the industry”
