Anyone who knows anything about bikes will tell you that a bike built by Giovanni Pelizzoli is like owning a Lamborghini Miura. The sort of stuff that you don't get change out of selling your soul…. well you know the rest. Now is the time where this could be one of those moments where you get to own the dream. Standard Ciocc frames can be found if you look hard enough but try and find a frame that has pleated tubes. They are rarer than hens teeth!
Alessandro Caccia at Pelizzoli had this to say about this bike
“Giovanni is honored seeing someone collect his old brand frames Ciöcc. The frame coming from the end of 80s — it’s not easy to say the right year but should be around ’86 to ’89, from the industrial production when Giovanni sold the brand to Cicli Conti (in Fara Gera d’Adda). The tubing is not Columbus Cromor but Oria with special twisted shape."
I won't lie, I will be sad to see this go. It is a beautiful bike and has proven to turn heads with looks of envy. I've only ridden it once since the photos and my hope was to keep it until the day my future child would look at it in awe of such beauty. But alas I have chosen a different path and decided instead to apply my hands and brain to try and craft my own beauty. Bikes will be my second best achievement, a child my first!

I am the second owner of the frame and can say that there are some signs of age in the paint and chrome, as you would expect from a bike that is 30+ years old. This frame is in original condition and although you might consider it warts and all, I consider it one of many war stories to tell which are far more interesting than how it might sit hanging on a wall for every passing hipster to gawk at and think how it would look great as a track fixie! It would be a travesty that would not be fitting of such a rare frame!!!
It has featured on Cycle EXIF and you can read more here http://www.cycleexif.com/ciocc-strada
The only reason I'm selling is that I am about to get the chance to build my own Ti Frame with my own hands. A skill that I hope to apply in the future to build my own little piece of cycling history…….. Or folk law.
