Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Save on Camera Drones
I have been flirting with a number of Selfie Drones over recent times and for mine, the Zerotech Dobby is the best on the market for beginners. It certainly isn't the cheapest but having purchased one of the cheapest I find the cheaper ones too unstable and too hard to fly for the beginner. The Dobby on the other hand, due to it's GPS and Ultrasonic sensors, behaves perfectly. Furthermore the camera is much better than the cheaper Selfie Drones and combined with Image Stabilizing technology makes it near fool proof. If you are in the market for a Selfie Drone then save yourself some angst and buy this one. Ok a couple of points: Battery life is seriously short, so I recommend you buy a few (I have three), sadly these are quite expensive. The fast charge feature has the batteries recharged in circa 30 Minutes. I also have a Sansung "Fast Charge" Battery pack which works great for charging in the field. Also the propellor guards are an excellent (small) investment for us Novices :-) It is a little noisey, I reckon this is a good thing as you can find it in the sky easier. The follow me function is really cool but I found it lost contact with me reasonably frequently. The "DoFun" app is very good, very stable with lot's of features. It also has it's own community forum you can participate in if that's your thing. One last thing, when flying indoors the Dobby uses Ultrasonics in the absence of a GPS signal, although inaudible to the human ear... drives my dog nuts ! Best wishes Phill Read full review

The Dobby had great features and it's a great selfie drone. Both of the ones i tried kept on coming up with compass errors. I will try a third, because it it's so small and useful BUT if the third one is problematic then it will be a DJI Spark. The Dobby is around the 200 Mark now which makes it a bargain with persevering with. At 4 to 500, nah, stick with DJI

I read a lot about the topic before deciding to buy “crash test” cheapie. Yes I crashed it. It manual leaves a lot to be desired. But it works well and video feed is surprisingly good. I haven’t attempted gesture control yet but controls ok using phone or handset. I recommend keeping the propeller guards installed - even though they prevent it folding up. I expect more expensive drones would be more stable. But I’ll bet I’d crash them as well. Btw - it survived the crash....

It’s only new, but it takes a great photo and video. A lot of fun, very easy to operate and it flies really well. You will need a backup battery as you will be using it a lot.

Very stable hover as has a lookdown vision positioning system which is v rare in drones in this price bracket. Flight time 13min is great for this price drone well built & robust Tello FPV app is better than DJI app Tip - buy another couple of batteries as that will give you a bit over 1/2hr flight which is enough for a session.
