Collection of all seven series of the successful 70's sitcom.
On The Buses follows the fortunes of jack-the lad London bus drivers Jack Harper (Bob Grant) Stan Butler (Reg Varney) and their nemesis, Inspector 'Blakey' Blake (Stephen Lewis). Jack and Stan are a couple of likely lads who enjoy doing what most young lads do - watching girls and getting into scrapes. However, their lot is complicated by the fact that Stan lives at home with his mum and frumpy sister Olive (Anna Karen) who plague his every turn. Furthermore, Blakey - with his catchphrase 'ooh I 'ate you, Butler' - is forever at their shoulder ready to scotch any designs they may have on anything but driving buses.
DVD Region Encoding
DVD region encoding is designed to ensure that discs from a particular region are played only in that region; the region code of the player must match that of the disc or it will not work. In practice, many DVD players are region-free (they don't check the disc) or multi-region (the region can be switched, necessary for cases such as RCE, where the disc checks the player). If you are outside the area this disc is intended for, please verify that your player is multi-region capable before purchase. The regions are as follows:
DVD Format - PAL and NTSC
There are two video standards relating to DVD, being PAL and NTSC. In addition to the region code, it is necessary to check that your DVD player can handle the video format as well. In general, if a machine is multi-region it will also be multi-system, and most (~97%) PAL DVD players can handle NTSC in either case. Conversely, very few NTSC DVD players can handle PAL, so it's important check the capabilty. Additionally, you may require a multi-system capable TV as well. The areas for each are shown on the map below (regions marked SECAM use PAL DVDs).
