I bought this to heat 168 square foot of living space as a primary source of heat. It always did a good job as long as the temps were above -10. I liked that, as a radiant heater, I could turn it off to cook and, because the entire living space was at temperature, the house held. I purchased mine with the recommended socket protector. Warning: They only recommend plugging directly into the outlet; not even overheat protectors. Nevertheless, I used the overheat protection to protect my home when I wasn't in it (most space heaters recommend that you don't run them if you're not home, too). 4 months into using this and that socket protector kicked off. It was really hot! I let the heater cool off completely and then tried it in a different outlet directly, without the socket protector. Within 1/2 hour, the outlet started to become really hot, too! When I tried to make a warranty claim with DeLonghi, they said I needed to try to contact tech support first. Tech support said that I'd have to mail it to a service center and foot the bill for shipping! They also said they didn't believe their product was the problem. I threw it out. Read full review

The product is keeping me and my critters from being cold.. really can not ask for much more.. Living conditions that it is trying to heat will effect the overall quality of the heat held with the area... but I do recommend this heater... got my sister to buy one as well.

I had owned a DeLonghi oil filled heater for many years and was pleased with it's long service. This unit is newer design and i didn't realize that is was smaller than my other one. It works great and looks great but is not able to put out the amount of heat necessary for a larger room. I would recommend it for small to medium rooms. It looks good but at the same wattage doesn't seem to put out the same amount of heat. If you need one I would pay the extra $15 and get the larger model. It would be worth it. It is the best when operated on high with the ComFort switch on. That brings the heater to a certain preset temp and then shuts it down. It then cycles on and off as needed. However that is 1500 watts so watch your electric bill! I would buy again but the larger one so it could operate at a lower wattage.Read full review
So far, I have only used it mostly in LOW and a couple of nights in MEDIUM (with TEMP setting at about 65%) in my computer room (room door closed). Same with my previous (another brand) in the bedroom, and plan a third in the kitchen. I expect to beat the gas company this winter with some $250 off my regular winter gas bill... ;-) Oh, and my electric bill? Some $4 to 5 Dllrs more last two months... Yes, buy them!

I love these heaters. It heats up a cold spot the heat from the wood stove doesn’t reach. They take the chill of a room in the between seasons when I’m not ready to run the furnace or start up the wood stove. The cat loves it. It’s silent and gives steady radiant heat. Highly recommend. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition.
