I enjoyed playing this game. Forget about being serious, this game is just plain silly! The little alien dude has got the Jack Nicholson voice down pat! You get to blow up stuff, control humans, read human's thoughts (best part of the game!), and use telepathic powers to move things. You also have tools such as an anal probe and a ray gun. My favorite part of the game is walking around reading people's thoughts. Some of the things the people say are just too hilarious! For example, "Where did I leave my children" or "Look at my new brassier (sp?)! You could torpedo a U-Boat with these things!" The game is similarly structured to Grand Theft Auto. You land your UFO in a location and you can walk around the area freely. You can read minds and collect brains or you can find a mission. There are plenty of missions to cover from a tutorial level at the beginning and several "boss" levels at the end of a series in a location. Basically you're trying to find out what happened to a previous ship that came to earth. If you die, then you have to restart the mission. As far as I know, you have unlimited life since you're being cloned. Also, when you're walking freely, you have to avoid arrousing suspicion or else they'll call in the military to capture you. You can assume a humanoid form as a disguise. The game does get a little repeatative after a while (since it only has about five or six locations), but if you complete all the tasks then you'll get a very special bonus feature! I won't spoil the surprise, but it's worth playing the game for especially if you're a fan of those old cheezy sci-fi movies. You'll have so much fun anal probing people and reading their thoughts!Read full review
it's not as good as the second game destroy all humans 2, but it is still an enjoyable game to play ..the abilities are different between the first and second games,in this one you have to collect dna samples to gain more abilities , new weapons , new shields.. the more dna collected the more you unlock.. the missions are somewhat easy, you will occasionally do a mission thats a real pain .. its more of an annoying thing to have to repeat some of the missions more than once. in this one your spaceship is more easily damaged than in the second game. so if all your wanting to do is DESTROY ALL HUMANS this game delivers just that , your ability to travel around during a mission is limited a warning message will appear , if you ignore it you will automatically be returned to the mission area and you restart the mission over .. the gameplay does deliver as promised an enjoyable game.. so put it in your system and start playing WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR !!!Read full review
One of my favorite all-time movies is MARS ATTACKS. Why? Because I guess I'm a little twisted. Most movies I have no interest in watching more than once. Same with games. Kind of the been there done that syndrome, I guess. But when it comes to cranky little aliens running around the planet with their trusty little ray guns ( thus the title of this review ) I make an exception! It's just plain old silliness from the word "go". Some call it comic relief. I call it entertainment.

For an Xbox title that came out 15 years ago it still has appeal to play. The graphics still hold up while playing on the Xbox One S. My nephew who is younger than the game was impressed and he is a 4k HD type gamer.

I love everything from the zap gun to the disintegrating gun and being able to use telekinesis and launch objects. I also think that the anal gun is pretty funny. You shoot the human and they run away holding their bum and then their head explodes off and your collect the DNA.
