On auction I have an old 'Elvis Presley' LP record.
Record titled is 'A legendary performer - Volume 2'
By RCA records1978 New York, USA. Printed in Italy
Label number - CPL1-1349
It comes with a Illustrated memory log (book) with some great stories and pictures (see attached photos)
A inner sleeve with pictures of Elvis and a poster which has been creased
The attached pictures form most of the description.
Side A: Harbour Lights (one of the released masters RCA acquired from Sun records. Recorded 1954, Interview (Elvis interviewed by DJ Jay Thompson (now of WFAA Dallas) following performance at the Municipal Auditorium in Wichita Falls Texas. Probably recorded April 11 1956, I want you, I need you, I love you (Unreleased alternate take off of his 1956 hit. Blue Suede Shoes (Later unreleased live recording of his early classic. Original recording January 30 1956), Blue Christmas (Best known and most requested Christmas song. Appears on billboard Christmas list ever year. Recorded for his first Christmas album September 5 1957), Jailhouse Rock (Title song for his first movie. Recorded in 1957) and It's now or never (Based on 'O sole Mio" included in 1st Post Army album. Named single of the year by Billboard. Recorded April 3, 1961).
Side B: Cane and high starched collar (Unreleased song from Flaming star includes extras from the recording session. Recorded February 9, 1961), Presentation of awards to Elvis (Excerpt from a press conference - Honolulu Hawaii. March 25, 1961), Blue Hawaii (Later unreleased live recording of the title song from his biggest movie release in 1961), Such a night (Recorded for album Elvis is back. his 1st after Army discharge. includes extras from the actual session. Recorded April 4, 1960), Baby what you want me to do (Unreleased live version highlights Elvis on lead guitar), How great thou art (One if his best known sacred songs. Grammy winning album released in 1967. Recorded May 25, 1966) and If I can dream (Closing song of his 1st TV special 1968. Was released as a single and in soundtrack album. Recorded in 1968)
All of the above notes are recorded on the rear of the record after the song details.
The record does have few light to heavy scratch marks. It plays without jumping.
