The writing was descriptive and captivating, but the author fails to clearly differentiate about when two different places have the same names. Two that come to mind, and occur in the same chapters (to add to the confusion) are the "Great Carrying Place" and "Annapolis" and "Royal Annapolis" which was referred to as "Annapolis". And I'm only into Chapter 6! One can most times make the distinctions after rereading a section, but it should be unnecessary to have to do so.
I purchased this book to advance my knowledge on this period in American history. The book was well worth the price and is well written leaving the reader with a clear picture of the events prior to the American revolution. It is a must read for anyone living in the affected areas.
