This beautiful picture storybook is illustrated by the author. Magnificent full colour white illustrations. Unnumbered pages, there are 23. No names, labels or fingerprints. Been in a private family collection. The book measures  30cm  x  23cm. Near Fine in an excellent dust jacket; The only blemish to mention, and it's minor, is the dustjacket has slight, subtle creasing from storage ~ can only be seen on some angels...HIGH GLOSS ~ gorgeous.

First U.S. Edition: First Printing, a magnificent book of approximately 23 pages. It is illustrated by the magnificent Sven Nordqvist. " Reinforced Binding " for long wear, pictorial hard glossy boards that duplicate DJ design exactly. Now Out Of Print, this book is now almost impossible to locate in a non Ex-Libris state & a much sought after collector's item. This is a spectacular copy, like new ( museum quality for sure ), very tight & bright, and UNOPENED. This copy is NOT an ex-library copy(Been in a private family collection) - but is the very sturdy  "Reinforced Binding"  for long wearing that was earmarked for libraries!

Sven Norqvist is listed as one of the Eight Wonders in the Modern World according to Neiklot !
