What is amber?
Amber is fossilized tree resin which has been appreciated for its colour and natural beauty since Neolithic times. Through oxidation and polymerization process, resin transforms first into copal, then sustained heat and pressure drives off terpens and results in the formation of amber.
What does Baltic Amber come from?
Baltic amber is a specific subset of amber that is found in the region of Baltic Sea. About 90% of the world extractable amber is still located in the Kaliningrad Oblast of Europe on the Baltic Sea. It dates from 45 million years ago.
What is the composition of Baltic Amber?
Baltic amber contains 3-8% of succinic acid. From a chemical point of view, amber consists of 79% carbon, 10.5% hydrogen and 10.5% oxygen. The average composition of amber leads to the general formula C10H16O.
How Baltic amber does work?
When it is worn on the skin, the skins warmth releases minuscule amounts of oils which are then absorbed into the skin. It has a positive effect to those who wear it. This amber is completely natural with no side effect. So the amber is treated as perfect for babies and toddlers.
How safe are Amber Necklaces to wear?
Breaking is unlikely to happen, even if the amber necklace would break only one bead would come of, because of having a knot before and after each bead. Necklaces fasten with a plastic screw clasp that opens and closes easily.
What happens if my child chews on the beads of Necklaces?
The beads of necklaces are too small for a child to choke on. If a child swallow amber bead from the necklace, it won`t be harmful since it is not poisonous. It used to be ground up and swallowed in medicinal mixtures.
Are the Necklaces just for girls?
Amber Necklaces are designed to look great on girls as well as boys and provide the same incredible benefits regardless.

Amber occurs in a range of different colours. As well as the usual Yellow-Orange-Brown that is associated with the colour “amber”, amber itself can range from a whitish colour through a pale lemon yellow, to brown and almost black. Other more uncommon colours include cherry green and even blue amber, which is rare and highly sought after.

Baltic Amber is not a crystal and it cannot be classified as a stone. It is less dense than stone, but too dense to float. It is beautiful, very light weight, creates positive effect to those who wear it.
