HPS - High Performance Street disc brake pads are world renowned for increasing stopping power on your street legal vehicle. Increasing the performance of your vehicles braking system is easy when you choose Hawk Performance’s HPS braking compound. This unique Ferro-Carbon formula was developed for street performance using the safety and quality of Aerospace and Motorsports severe-duty friction technology.

The High Performance Street compound offers a higher coefficient of friction over stock brake pads and can provide you 20-40% more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads. Less fade means you will have a highly durable brake pad with less brake dust.

All Hawk Performance High Performance Street brake pads provide a limited lifetime warranty, ensuring products to be free of defects from manufacturer’s workmanship and materials.

Note:
Hawk Performance burnishes its High Performance Street brake pads as a final step in the factory, but all brake pads have to be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used against. Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.

Installation Procedure:

• Install brake pads properly. Be sure pads are securely positioned in the caliper.
• Flush system with fresh brake fluid.
• Check all hydraulic parts for excess wear and tear.
• Check disc for proper thickness, parallelism, and lateral runout.
• Check disc for scoring or grooves over .012”depth. If either applies, resurfacing is required. If discs do not need resurfacing, then contamination from the previous brake pads must be removed. Sand discs with 130 grit sandpaper using moderate pressure. Use soap and water to clean discs’ surface after sanding and machining.
• Discs should be free and clear of oil, grease, and brake fluid.
• Inspect calipers for freedom of movement. Lubricate where necessary.

Bed-In Instructions:

1. After installing new brake pads, make 6 to 10 stops from approximately 30-35 mph applying moderate pressure.
2. Make an additional 2 to 3 hard stops from approximately 40 to 45 mph.
3. DO NOT DRAG BRAKES!
4. Allow 15 minutes for brake system to cool down.
5. After step 4 your new pads are ready for use.

We use Fedex, UPS, USPS, and TNT Express as our shipping carriers. Not all carriers are available to all destinations and we will pick shipping carrier that offers the most reliable and secure service to your destination. International customers, do not assume your order is shipping USPS even if the Ebay shipping calculator shows USPS. Shipping times and carrier choice vary and may differ from estimates and carriers shown in Ebay's Shipping Calculator due to Ebay system limitations. LOSS CLAIM OR SHIPPING DAMAGE:
When you receive an item, please inspect it immediately including that you received the correct part number. If you find something is not in order (broken, missing, etc.), you must contact us within 7 days after receipt of product so that we can work with you the resolve the problem. We will not accept claims after 7 days of receipt. If an item is damaged or lost during shipping and requires an insurance claim, please expect up to 60 days to resolve the insurance claim. You must be available for the insurance company to visit, phone, and/or email you about the damage and you must keep all shipping materials. Once the claim is approved by the insurance company, we will ship the replacement product to you. If you fail to cooperate with the shipping or insurance company, we cannot finalize a damage or loss claim and replacement product cannot be provided.

PAYMENT:
PayPal: We only ship to the address shown in the PayPal payment record. We do not use the address provided in the Ebay transaction record or ship to any address you provide to us via email or any other method that differs from the address provided by PayPal. This policy is for the security of all PayPal and eBay users and we make no exceptions to this policy.

Payments must be made within 5 days after winning auction. If your payment is not received in a timely manner, we will file an unpaid bidder strike with Ebay against your Ebay account. Failure to pay for an item costs us money (Final Value Fees are assessed at time of purchase, not time of payment) and the only way to get back those Ebay fees is to file the unpaid bidder strike.

PROCESSING TIME:
For Continental USA (lower 48 states and street address served by Fedex or UPS), most orders ship by the next business day after payment clearance. Some orders may take up to 3 business days after payment clearance to ship if they are shipped from a remote warehouse. Saturday, Sunday, and major national holidays are not considered business days. Orders to all other locations (including Post Office Box shipments) may take up to 7 business days to ship after payment clearance.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES:
We will accept returns and exchanges on this product minus a 20% restock fee (minimum $10) on the product price, shipping charges are not refundable. Listings with Free Shipping or Discounted Shipping will have actual shipping charges deducted before restock fee is applied. Please make sure you know what you are buying and that it works for your application. If you need to return an item, please contact us within 14 days after receiving the product and we will issue a RMA number and detailed return instructions. We do not accept returns or exchange requests after 14 days. You will need a RMA number or your return will be refused at our dock and shipped back to you at your expense. Only merchandise new in box and in completely resale-able condition will be accepted for returns.

Under no circumstances will we accept a return on any part that has been installed. This policy includes parts received in error due to a shipping mistake. Check your part number(s), check the instructions (if applicable) and check your application before attempting installation.

WARRANTY:
If you have a warranty issue, please call us or the manufacturer. We will work with you to help solve your warranty claim according to the manufacturer's policies. For a warranty claim, most manufacturers only pay for product replacement or product repair (their option). Any additional costs, such as shipping, installation, removal, loss of use of vehicle, etc. are not covered by manufacturer's warranties.
