THE SADDLECLOTH IS THE CLASSIC SMALL DIAMOND QUILTED STYLE, WITH A NARROW LINE OF EITHER SILVER OR GOLD PIPING AROUND THE EDGE WHICH IS VERY ELEGANT.

IT IS MACHINE WASHABLE AT 30 DEGREES, COMES CLEAN VERY EASILY, & CAN TAKE FREQUENT WASHING WITHOUT ANY COLOUR FADE.

I USE THESE SADDLECLOTHS MYSELF & THEY LAST FOR YEARS & YEARS OF HARD WEAR!

I AM PARTICULARLY FUSSY ABOUT MY SADDLECLOTHS BEING SQUEAKY CLEAN, SO WHENEVER A HORSE HAS SWEATED BENEATH IT, I CHUCK THE SADDLECLOTH STRAIGHT IN THE MACHINE - THEY GET WASHED & WASHED & STILL LOOK NEW!

THIS IS A FIRM, DENSE SADDLECLOTH THAT OFFERS GOOD PROTECTION AGAINST IMPACT & SHEARING FORCES, BUT WITHOUT BEING BULKY, SO IT WON'T AFFECT YOUR SADDLE FIT. THE FILLING IS DOUBLE FELTED, SO IT WILL NEVER GO FLOPPY.

A VERY WELL DESIGNED SADDLECLOTH; IT WILL NOT MOVE AROUND, PULL DOWN, RIDE FORWARD OR BACK, OR ANY OF THOSE OTHER ANNOYING THINGS THAT CHEAP SADDLECLOTHS DO!

 IT HAS THE BEST TYPE OF FASTENINGS - LONG WEBBING STRAPS WITH LOTS OF VELCRO, SO THAT YOU CAN CHOOSE THE POINT OF ATTACHMENT ACCORDING TO YOUR OWN PREFERENCE.

IT IS PERFECTLY SHAPED TO THE CONTOURS OF THE HORSE'S BACK, SO IT WILL NOT PULL DOWN & CAUSE PRESSURE ON THE SPINE AT EITHER END. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTO, THE CUT IS GOOD ENOUGH TO MAKE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO FIT THIS PAD INCORRECTLY; IT IS CUT REALLY WELL AT THE FRONT & WILL SIT RIGHT UP INTO THE GULLET & OFF YOUR HORSE'S BACK. IT IS ALSO CUT TO SIT UP AT THE BACK SLIGHTLY SO THAT IT DOESN'T RUB ACROSS THE LARGE MUSCLE MASS THAT DRESSAGE HORSES OFTEN DEVELOP JUST BEHIND THE SADDLE.

THE HEAD IS SLIGHTLY CUT BACK & THE DENSITY OF THE SADDLECLOTH ENSURES THAT IT STAYS UP INTO THE GULLET ON ITS OWN. THESE SOUND LIKE REALLY SIMPLE POINTS, BUT IT MEANS THAT THE SADDLECLOTH DOES NOT HAVE THAT IRRITATING HABIT OF CATCHING ON YOUR GLOVES OR REIN ENDS AS BADLY SHAPED SADDLECLOTHS DO, & THAT IT WON'T PULL DOWN ONTO THE HORSE'S BACK - VERY IMPORTANT!
