For Duncan MacLeod, Season Two is one filled with hope, heroics and heartache. He for the first time meets his Watcher, Joe Dawson, and an indomitable friendship is born. In a vicious duel he beheads Luther and effectively saves the world by ending the evil immortal's quest to piece together the mysterious Methuselah Stone, the source of invulnerability. But tragedy strikes too, as Duncan's beloved Tessa is killed by a junkie's bullet.
Through it all the mystery of the Highlander unfolds and deepens as his incredible story leaps time and emotions to bring us further into the tortured world of the Immortals. In the end, there can only be one.

When his samurai mentor, Hideo Koto, commits Seppuku, Duncan not only takes on a deathbed oath to forever protect his fallen mentor's family, but also takes posession of the most heralded weapon in the Highlander collection, the extraordinary Dragon's Head Katana. A darkly twisted turn of events leads Duncan into a battlefield alliance with the oldest living Immortal, Methos, an alliance that may well end in the death of this legendary being. But all is not somber, as for better and worse, Duncan's life gains some levity when he befriends the jaunty Fitzcairn, a free-spirited and womanizing Immortal played by Roger Daltrey.
