Up for sale is an IBM X336 1U rackmount server
this config is a cost effective soltuion for small-to-medium-jobs (mail/dns/dhcp/backup/few pages webhosting etc) or a good source of cheap parts
1U rackmount IBM X336 server (M8837-15M, S/N:99GYC08)
2X Power supply units
2x Xeon CPU @ 3ghz , a total of 2x1 real cpu cores or 4 virtual cores with HT enabled
2 GB fully buffered ECC memory (4x 512 MB)
2X 72GB U320 SCSI HDD
Adaptec 39160 SCSI controller in PCI-X slot
good working condition, a few minor scratches on the top and bottom of the case from normal use.
No errors on the LightPath diagnostic interface, but I have a good reason to believe that the planar (onboard) SCSI controller has failed during a derailed SCSI bios update, therefore an Adaptec 39160 SCSI controller has been installed to one of the pci-x slots and internal drives were hooked up on it instead of the planar SCSI controller.
I went to the diagnostic menu and run all the other tests and all tests PASSED. (full memory test, cpu tests), HDD tests were run from the Adaptec BIOS and both drives were tested with no problems.
The system comes with a fresh install of Debian 6.0 for demonstaration purposes.
If you intend to use this sytem with a Windows based OS I can offer you an IBM ServeRAID 3H card instead of the currently installed Adaptec 39160 for an extra $10
