This book is an attempt to examine the motivational variables based on the task performance and the results are based on learners' perceptions - both quantitative and qualitative. In other words, the purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive theoretical description of the task based motivation and to show its basics and the ways by which I believe it broadens the scope of Task motivation research. The study makes use of different samples and concepts which broaden the understanding of the motivation construct. The research is not about finding solution of any specific problem but to understand the new concept rose in psycholinguistics. The assumption of such an approach is to raise awareness of the language teacher by providing a deeper understanding of linguistic variation and its relationship with motivation.I assume the result I found is clearer and elaborate then the traditional practices whereby the most common criterion variable was a general achievement of proficiency measure. The findings can be useful for the language teacher or can be adapted by the educators or school to address their need for creating a more motivating language classroom.
