This NUC is small, fast, and quiet. I took mine apart and added a HDMI-CDC module from Pulse-Eight and connected it to my TV over HDMI. I haven't finished setting everything up, but it at least turns on / wakes up automatically when I turn on my TV, and I can use my TV remote to control Kodi (XBMC), so tat aspect is nice. Having mini-HDMI instead of full-sized HDMI is kind of annoying, but not really a big deal once you find the right cable/adapter. However, the real problem that caused me to ding it two stars is that it occasionally refuses to believe that my TV has speakers and instead insists that there are no speakers available. The only solution seems to be walking over, unplugging the HDMI cable, and then plugging it back in. It kind of defeated the purpose of having a remote. as far as I can tell, it's a bug in the Intel drivers, so hopefully they'll get it sorted out sometime soon. If it wasn't for that one issue, it'd basically be a perfect HTPC. As it stands, I'm not as impressed.Read full review

If all you need is compute and a standard amount of storage with minimal ports/expansion options, this is the unit. Works great for worker bee positions like front desk, sales/service bullpen, accounting, etc.

This is an older NUC, but I am only running a small home automation software on it so it runs just fine.

Super fast and efficient, I use it as a Roon Core to run my digital music files and works like a dream. Great little computer especially for the price.
