Nestled in the South Mount Lofty Ranges about 45 kilometres south of Adelaide is the town of Macclesfield, whose life contains a wealth of pioneering history and endeavour. With the centenary of the laying of the foundation stone of the local institute in 1980, this compilation of the town's local history was also published.
