GARMENT MEASUREMENT GUIDE

(All measurements are obtained with garments laid flate and relaxed)

SHOULDERS

Shoulder measurements are obtained by measuring across the shoulders, seam to seam.

BUST

The garment is measured across the chest with the garment 'relaxed' and not stretched.

The measurement is taken from side seam to side seam directly under the armpit.

If the measurement is 45cm, this measurement is then doubled to provide a bust circumference measurement of 90cm.

WAIST

The garment is measured from side to side directly across the waistline.

If the measurement is 40cm, this is then doubled to provide a waist measurement of 80cm.

HIPS

The garment is measured from side to side directly across the hip line.

If the measurement is 57cm, this is then doubled to show a Hip measurement of 114cm.

THIGH

Measure the garment horizontally across the thigh at 5cm below the crotch seam then double for the circumference.

BOTTOM LEG OPENING

Measure the bottom leg hem from side to side on the inside of the opening then double for the circumference.

FRONT RISE

With the front of the pants/ jeans/ shorts laid flat, measure vertically from the crotch seam up to the top of the front waistband.

BACK RISE

With the back of the pants/ jeans/ shorts laid flat, measure vertically from the crotch seam up to the top of the back waistband.

SLEEVE LENGTH

Sleeve measurements are obtained by measuring from the top shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve cuff.

In the case of garments that do not have a defined shoulder seam, measurements are obtained from the armpit seam to the sleeve end.

(Either of these measuring options will be outlined in our measurements when used.)

LEG LENGTH (INSEAM)

The leg length (inseam) measurement is obtained by measuring from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

Straighten the seam down the leg to get a better measurement.

GARMENT LENGTH

The garment length is measured from the top of the shoulder, top of the shoulder strap or from the back of the collar, to the bottom hemline.

If the garment does not have a collar (ie: strapless) the measurement is taken from the front of the centre neckline down to the hemline.

(Either of these measuring options will be outlined in our measurements when used.)
